This month, we shipped one of your most-requested features: more granular admin roles. Plus, a wave of new HR and accounting integrations, and some serious AI muscle. Here's what's new.

TL;DR – What’s new in Expensify (July 2026)

  • Give more granular permissions to admins with new people, payments, and card role types
  • Let auditors view workspace settings with expanded read-only access
  • Connect to Workday, HiBob, BambooHR, and Certinia
  • Add AI agents with custom rules to take actions in Expensify on your behalf
  • Ask our virtual CFO questions and get on-the-fly spend analysis
  • Set mileage rates that apply to specific date ranges
  • Download expense report PDFs in bulk

Tighter controls, smarter AI

Scoped admin roles & read-only auditor access

Give admins exactly the access they need. New scoped roles include people admin, payments admin, and card admin. We've also expanded the read-only auditor role to view workspace settings for a better picture of company setup. Learn more about role updates.

New HR & accounting integrations

Connect your people data in a couple clicks. Workday, HiBob, BambooHR, and Certinia integrations are now live. Employees, groups, and org data now flow straight into Expensify. More connections are rolling out through the rest of the year, so stay tuned. Learn more about our new integrations.

Now in beta: Upgrade your workflow with agent rules

No more rigid rule-builders. Tell our AI agents what you want in plain English (edit, code, route, hold, comment, reject, or approve expenses), and they'll figure out how to do it. Learn how to create agent rules.
