Expensify launches integrations with Booking.com & Delta

Powered by Traxo, Expensify’s integrations with Delta and Booking.com aim to take the pain out of business travel

The global pandemic has fundamentally altered the landscape of business travel forever.  Although business travel may never return to pre-pandemic levels, several indicators hint at its resurgence. According to Deloitte, international business trip spending is expected to increase throughout 2023. For Europeans, the uptick can be attributed mostly to in-person client engagements, while the uptick for Americans is about connecting with colleagues at global conferences. In addition, the concept of “Bleisure” - the blending of business and leisure travel, inspired by flexible working arrangements, is gaining traction. Clearly, as the industry undergoes transformation, travelers are seeking tools that offer greater convenience.

There has been so much movement within the business travel space, so it’s only natural that Expensify customers continue to seek as much convenience as possible. We have been listening, and are introducing updates that we think will give our customers a better overall experience. We recently entered into a strategic alliance with Traxo, a leading provider of real-time corporate travel data capture, to optimize the expense management experience.  We’ve been behind the scenes working with Traxo to build a Delta integration and Booking.com for Business integration.

The first initiative we decided to tackle with Traxo was developing our Delta integration with Delta Air Lines for Business customers in mind. The integration brings significant benefits to all business travelers of Delta by enabling an effortless and streamlined process of flight receipts from Delta Airlines to be sent to Expensify at the time of booking. The integration also eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces the potential for errors. This is a big step forward in improving the experience of Delta's business travelers because it saves time and provides added convenience. Another helpful feature of the travel integration is that customers receive real-time notifications directly from Expensify if their flight is delayed or canceled.

In addition to our Delta integration, we built an integration with Booking.com for Business. Starting this month, all Expensify customers can seamlessly integrate their Expensify accounts with Booking.com for Business, allowing them to automatically upload all the details of their travel itineraries from Booking.com for Business directly into Expensify.

There’s no doubt that Booking.com and Delta Airlines make business travel easy for all types of customers by offering a seamless and hassle-free experience. However, with the evolution of business travel in general, the creativity and modernization of Expensify and Traxo really helps to elevate the customer experience.
